BJP’S VICTORY MARKED HOLI AND DIPAWALI LIKE CELEBRATIONS

ARA-------------------------The NDA's landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections was met with wild celebrations. As soon as the news of the NDA's lead in the counting of votes began on Friday morning, workers from NDA constituent parties took to the streets with flags and banners and began celebrating. As the counting progressed round by round and the NDA candidates gained more ground, their enthusiasm grew. After 3 p.m., when BJP candidate Vishal Prashant from Tarari secured a decisive lead, workers began throwing abir-gulal (colourful colour) and bursting firecrackers. They also began exchanging sweets. The celebrations that began after the final results were announced continued late into the night. NDA workers were seen dancing, singing, smearing abir-gulal (colourful colour) on each other, and raising slogans. Children, young and old alike participated in the celebrations. The celebrations were so intense that Holi and Diwali paled in comparison. The enthusiasm of the youth was palpable. From cities to villages, NDA supporters celebrated the victory in their own ways. While most enthusiastic young people indulged in dancing and singing, many supporters visited temples to offer offerings and express their gratitude to God for the NDA's victory.
