BIHAR STATE SAFAI KARMCHARI COMMISSION FORMED

PATNA----------------------------Before the assembly elections in Bihar, one big announcement after another is being made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. On Sunday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced the formation of Bihar State Safai Karamchari Commission. This commission will have a chairman, a vice-chairman and five members, including one woman or transgender.

Earlier, Nitish Kumar has made many big announcements in Bihar including waiving 125 units of electricity bill, 35 percent reservation for women, increasing the amount of journalist insurance scheme. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar posted on his social media account X announcing the formation of Bihar State Safai Karamchari Commission and wrote that I am happy to inform that to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of sanitation workers in the state of Bihar, welfare, rehabilitation, social upliftment, redressal of grievances and monitoring of various welfare schemes, I have directed the department to constitute Bihar State Safai Karamchari Commission. This commission will give suggestions to the government regarding the interests of sanitation workers, protection of their rights and will review the welfare schemes related to people engaged in sanitation work and take appropriate action to implement them.

The Bihar State Safai Karamchari Commission will have one chairman, one vice-chairman and five members, out of which one will be a woman/transgender. This commission will play an important role in connecting the deprived sections of the society engaged in sanitation work in the state to the mainstream and in their social and economic development.
