Since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect in the wake of the 2025 General Elections, the Election Commission has been conducting extensive surveillance and intensive checking operations in the state to curb illegal activities. The objective of this campaign is to effectively prevent the distribution of cash, liquor, narcotics, valuables, and other illegal gifts to induce voters.

PATNA---------------------Since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect in the wake of the 2025 General Elections, the Election Commission has been conducting extensive surveillance and intensive checking operations in the state to curb illegal activities. The objective of this campaign is to effectively prevent the distribution of cash, liquor, narcotics, valuables, and other illegal gifts to induce voters.
According to a press release issued by the Election Commission, material worth over ₹658.90 crore (reported amount) has been seized in the actions taken so far.
