In view of the recent incidents of agitation and jail break by 'Zen Z' in Nepal, the Bihar government has taken immediate steps to further strengthen the security system in the border districts. A high-level meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, in which Superintendents of Police (SPs) and District Magistrates (DMs) of all the districts bordering Nepal participated through video conferencing (VC).

PATNA----------------------In view of the recent incidents of agitation and jail break by 'Zen Z' in Nepal, the Bihar government has taken immediate steps to further strengthen the security system in the border districts. A high-level meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, in which Superintendents of Police (SPs) and District Magistrates (DMs) of all the districts bordering Nepal participated through video conferencing (VC).

The main objective of this meeting was to effectively deal with the possible challenges arising from the recent incidents in Nepal. The Chief Secretary gave several important guidelines to all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police. He especially directed to keep a close watch on all the persons entering Bihar from across the border. Strict orders have been given to not allow any person to enter the border without thorough checking.

The Chief Secretary also asked to keep a strict vigil on the prestigious institutions and important infrastructure of the state like bridges, railway stations, power plants etc., so that any untoward incident can be prevented.

During the meeting, Pratyaya Amrit assured the officers that in case of any emergency or additional assistance is required, they can directly contact him or the Director General of Police (DGP). This instruction will help the officers to take quick decisions and avoid delay in any situation.

Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Vinay Kumar and Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Shri Kundan Krishnan were also present in this important meeting. Apart from this, senior officials of the Home Department, all Divisional Commissioners, and District Magistrates, Inspector Generals of Police (IGs) and Superintendents of Police of all districts were connected to the meeting through video conferencing.
