ARA----------------------Police has taken a major action against illegal sand mining in Koilwar police station area of ​​the district. Last night, the police received information that some boats from Doriganj were carrying empty sand and were again taking sand towards Doriganj after illegally mining sand in Babura, Koilwar and Chandi area's Son river. On this, the police immediately planned a raid operation and took major action taking the whole matter seriously. Based on the information, on the orders of Superintendent of Police Bhojpur, a joint raid operation was conducted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-02) and District Mining Officer Bhojpur along with Mining Inspector, Koilwar Police Station Police and QRT Force. During the operation, the police found illegally loaded sand in a boat, which was being taken towards Doriganj.

The police reached the spot and seized the boat and arrested 7 people along with it. The names of the arrested accused are Krishna Rai (55), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Ravi Kumar (20), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Virendra Rai (25), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Shatrughan Sah (45), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Ajay Rai (50), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Teras Rai (48), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara, Vishesar Sah (52), Lala's Tola Panditpur, PS Badhara.

The arrested accused are being questioned and the police have initiated necessary legal action against them. During the raid, the police seized a boat which was carrying a huge amount of illegal sand. This raid is being considered as one of the important steps taken by the administration against illegal mining. Police said that illegal sand mining not only harms the environment but also affects the economic balance of the region. The people arrested so far in this case are being questioned so that other people involved in this illegal business can also be traced.
