ARA-------------------------The police has taken strict action against illegal sand mining from Son river in the district. Based on secret information, the police raided and seized a sand laden boat and arrested 24 people from the spot. This action took place in Koilwar police station area. According to sources, the police had received input that empty boats from Doriganj side in Son river were illegally digging sand in the darkness of night in Babura, Chandi and Koilwar police station areas. After loading sand, they were being sent back to Doriganj. On this information, on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police of Bhojpur, the team of Koilwar police station and armed forces jointly raided under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-02) Ranjit Kumar Singh.

During the raid, a boat was caught loading sand illegally. The police arrested 24 people from the boat, all of whom are said to be residents of Maner police station area of ​​​​Patna district. These accused belong to Haldi Tola, Hathi Tola and Munji Tola.

An FIR has been lodged in this matter at Koilwar police station. A case has been registered against the accused.

All the arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody by the police. The process of investigating the case and identifying other involved people is going on. Sub-divisional Police Officer (Sadar-02) Ranjit Kumar Singh said Strict monitoring is being done on illegal mining. No one involved in this illegal business will be spared.
