BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST A MISCREANT

ARA-------------------------Koilwar Police arrested a criminal who was absconding in connection with two robbery cases involving gold merchants. He was arrested on Thursday in the Koilwar police station area. The arrested accused is Ankit Pandey, son of Laxman Pandey, a resident of Chasi village in the Narayanpur police station area.

It should be noted that on September 1st of this year, Arun Kumar, son of the late Satyanand Sah, a resident of Mahui Balaha village in the Koilwar police station area, and a jeweler, Arun Kumar, alias Munnaji, was returning to his jewelry shop in Pachhaina Bazaar in the police station area after buying gold jewelry from a gold shop in Ara.

At that time, near Brahma Sthan on the Sakkadi-Pachhaina Road, four armed criminals riding two bikes overtook his bike, stopped him, abused him, and assaulted him.

During that time, 35 grams of gold and mobile phone were snatched from him at gunpoint, after which an FIR was lodged by the jeweler Arun Kumar Arun alias Munna ji in Koilwar police station against four unknown criminals riding on two bikes. He was absconding since then.

Here, Koilwar SHO Narottam Chandra told that this year, the accused Ankit Pandey, who was arrested on July 1 near the Geedha overbridge in Geedha police station area, had also looted a jeweler at gunpoint. In which he was wanted. Apart from this, he has also gone to jail earlier in a liquor case from the police station. Police is conducting raids to arrest other absconding criminals.
