BEFORE ELECTIONS, CM WOMEN EMPOWERMENT SHCEME APPROVED

PATNA-------------------------Before the Bihar assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has played a big masterstroke. Nitish government has made a big announcement for women some time ago. Taking another big step in the field of women empowerment, the Bihar government has approved the 'Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme'. The objective of this scheme is to make them self-reliant by providing employment opportunities to one woman of every family of the state.

Under this, the Bihar government will give an amount of Rs 10,000 as the first installment to a woman from all families for employment of their choice as financial assistance. The process of taking applications from interested women will be started soon, the responsibility of which has been entrusted to the Rural Development Department. If needed, the help of the Urban Development and Housing Department will be taken.

From September 2025, the transfer of funds directly to the bank accounts of women will start. The evaluation will be done six months after starting the employment and additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh can be given to women as per the requirement. Haat-bazaars will be developed from village to city for the sale of products prepared by women.

It is worth noting that in the cabinet meeting held on Friday, 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana' has been approved. The government believes that this scheme will strengthen the economic condition of women and they will be able to play a bigger role in the progress of the family and the state. The Chief Minister said that this scheme will increase local employment opportunities and people will not have to go out of the state in search of employment.
