On the orders of District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the Prohibition Department is conducting continuous raids against illegal liquor in the district. Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition, Rajneesh, received a tip-off that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Bhojpur in a pickup truck. The Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition formed a team led by Inspector Anil Kumar.

ARA-----------------------On the orders of District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the Prohibition Department is conducting continuous raids against illegal liquor in the district. Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition, Rajneesh, received a tip-off that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Bhojpur in a pickup truck. The Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition formed a team led by Inspector Anil Kumar.
He told 'Khabare Aapki' that the team inspected a Tata pickup truck near Bihiyan intersection on the Buxar-Patna four-lane (Bihiyan police station, Bhojpur). During the search, a large quantity of foreign liquor was recovered from the pickup truck, hidden under animal feed. The pickup truck bore a Uttar Pradesh registration number.
The team arrested the pickup driver, Rakesh Kumar Gupta, son of Kamlesh Kumar Gupta, a resident of Lalpur village under the Cantt police station in Varanasi district, Uttar Pradesh. He is being handed over to the court for further action. A total of 682.560 litres of liquor in 3792 pieces was seized from the said vehicle. The market value of the seized liquor was estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh. The seized liquor was being brought to Bhojpur from Uttar Pradesh. The raiding team included Inspector Anil Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Madan Lal Yadav, Assistant Sub-Inspector Raj Kumar along with prohibition constables, SAP and Home Guard jawans.
