The problem of floods is increasing due to the rising water level of the Ganga river in Barhara. In view of the possible flood in Barhara, Barhara MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh held a review meeting of preparations with the officials of all the departments of the block in Barhara block office.

ARA-----------------------------The problem of floods is increasing due to the rising water level of the Ganga river in Barhara. In view of the possible flood in Barhara, Barhara MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh held a review meeting of preparations with the officials of all the departments of the block in Barhara block office.
Barhara MLA took stock of the situation of rising water level in the Ganga river from the flood control officer. The officer told that the water level has decreased in Varanasi and Allahabad right now, but the water level will decrease here only after two days. There is a possibility of flood. Flood water has entered some coastal villages. Due to water entering other coastal villages including Neknamtola, Sirsia, the movement of villagers has stopped.
Barhara MLA took information about the availability of boats from the Circle Officer and directed to increase the number of small boats. Instructed to make boats available soon in the affected villages including Neknamtola, Sirsia.
Barhara MLA instructed the medical officer to set up a medical camp. Instructions were given to deploy SDRF.
Barhara MLA instructed the Barhara Development Officer to complete all the preparations. Instructions were given to store animal fodder soon and prepare for the relief camp.
On the spot, Barhara MLA talked to the District Magistrate on phone and talked about the availability of polythene, ration etc.
Block Development Officer Mohit Bhardwaj, Circle Officer Navneet Sinha, Medical Officer Arvind Kumar, Flood Control Assistant Engineer Deepak, Ramashankar, Kamlesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Lalbabu, Twenty Point Chairman Shubham Pandey, Santosh Singh Santu, Hareram Chandravanshi, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Raghuveer Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
