BUXAR--------------------------A young man attempted to rape a 12-year-old girl in a locality under the Dumraon police station area in Buxar district. Honor saved due to the promptness of the people, the accused fled; police are conducting raids to arrest him.

However, the promptness of the people around prevented him from succeeding in his plan. The girl's honor was saved by raising an alarm. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Experts say that the accused faced public anger during the incident, but he managed to escape from the scene.

It is being reported that he lured the girl into his garage and molested her. However, people nearby saw him taking the girl to the garage. During this time, people gathered and started shouting. After which, the accused tried to escape, leaving her behind.

Upon receiving this information, local police arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the girl's parents reached the police station and informed the police. Police are continuously conducting raids to apprehend the absconding accused.
