ASARAM WILL REMAIN OUT OF JAIL DESPITE LIFE IMPRISONMENT

ARA-----------------------------86-year-old Asaram, who is serving life imprisonment in rape cases, has once again got relief from the Rajasthan High Court. After hearing the appeal filed on August 8, the court has ordered to extend his interim bail till August 29. This decision has been taken in view of his serious heart problems. Meanwhile, the court has directed to constitute a special panel of doctors in Ahmedabad Government Hospital for impartial examination of his health condition. Health report and court decision During the hearing, Asaram's lawyer Nishant Borda presented his latest medical report in the court, which mentioned serious heart problems. According to the report, his troponin level is very high, which is a sign of a serious heart disease. The Gujarat High Court had also extended his bail till August 29 on the same grounds. Currently, Asaram is admitted in the ICU of a private hospital in Indore. Emphasis on judicial process Rajasthan High Court judges Dinesh Mehta and Vineet Kumar Mathur have taken an important decision to ensure transparency and fairness in the case. The court has ordered the formation of a panel of doctors in the government hospital in Ahmedabad. This panel will include two cardiologists and other experts, who will conduct a detailed examination of Asaram's health. This team will submit its investigation report to the court, after which the final decision will be taken in the further hearing. Importance of troponin level The troponin level mentioned in the medical report is an important indicator for heart health. Troponin is a protein found in the heart muscle. Its level increases in the blood when there is a heart attack or damage to the heart muscle. Asaram's troponin level being very high is a major reason for the doctors to call his condition critical, on the basis of which he has been given interim relief. Prison and health problems This case once again shows that the law is sensitive to prisoners with serious health problems, no matter how serious their crimes are. On legal and humanitarian grounds, it is mandatory to provide prisoners with the necessary medical treatment. In such cases, courts often seek the opinion of an expert panel for medical examination to ensure that the prisoner's condition is indeed serious and there is no fraud. The way forward After the court's order, all eyes are now on the panel of doctors from Ahmedabad. This panel will complete its investigation and submit a report to the court, on the basis of which it will be decided whether Asaram's interim bail will continue or he will have to go to jail again. This decision has sparked an important debate in the legal and medical world about how justified is the relief given on medical grounds for persons convicted of serious crimes.
