ARA’S SON GETS BIG RESPONSIBILITY IN UP GOVERNMENT

ARA------------------------The son of Shahabad has been made the Cyber DG of Uttar Pradesh, which has created a wave of happiness in the area. BK Singh, who was earlier ADG Cyber Crime, will now take over the new responsibility on this post. He has made a significant contribution in preventing cyber crimes and raising awareness. In the Yogi government, many officers of Bhojpur are playing an important role in crime control.

The son of Shahabad has got a big responsibility. He has been given the command of the post of Cyber DG of Uttar Pradesh. There is a wave of happiness among the people of the area due to this achievement.

People say that his experience and working style will give a new direction in the prevention of cyber crimes. Earlier also the UP government had relied on Bihari brain to make the strategy of strictly dealing with cyber crime effective.

In June 2024, senior IPS Binod Kumar Singh of 1994 batch of UP cadre was made ADG of Cyber Crime Department. During his 13-month tenure as ADG Cyber Crime, he did a lot of work to save people from cyber criminals.

Along with setting up the 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline Center in Lucknow, he ran a big campaign to make people aware. This call center is one of the largest call centers of cyber crime helpline in India.

BK Singh is originally a resident of Barka Lauhar-Farna village of Barhara block of Old Shahabad and currently Bhojpur district. He has been awarded the President's Gallantry Medal, Commendable Work Service Medal and Outstanding Service Medal.

He has served as SP in many big districts of UP. BK Singh was SP in Siddharthnagar, Mirzapur, Banda, Sonbhadra, Bijnor and Railway Mirzapur and Allahabad. He was SSP in Faizabad, Allahabad and Bulandshahr.

Earlier, he was also OSD to the then Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The Union Home Ministry made him ADG of CRPF on 14 June 2023.

Earlier, he was posted as ADG Security in UP. Talking about his family background, he is the youngest of three brothers. His father Kishun Singh was the director in the electricity department.

In fact, many police officers native to Bhojpur district of Bihar are playing an important role in crime control in the Yogi government. Earlier, 1992 batch senior IPS Ashutosh Pandey, a resident of Bhojpur, Bihar and 1996 batch senior IPS Amitabh Yash have raised the flag of Bihari soil by catching criminals and getting them punished.

IPS Ashutosh Pandey was promoted to the post of DG in June 2025. 2012 batch IPS Santosh Kumar Mishra has also been serving in UP for a long time. He is also associated with the soil of Bhojpur. His father was in the army.
