ARA---------------------------A meeting of the Empowered Standing Committee was held in the Mayor's office of Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), which was chaired by the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Indu Devi. The proceedings were confirmed in the meeting. The main agenda was discussed. During this, considering the sarraat, it was decided that if the sarraat fee is not deposited on time, a notice will be given by the corporation. Considering cleanliness, orders were given to cleaning officer Vikas Kumar and Divya Vikas to lift garbage even at night and in the second shift after noon.

It was said to install high mask lights at various squares and intersections of the city after identifying the place. A clock tower will be constructed by the Municipal Corporation at Gopali Chowk. It was also decided to install LED display after looking at the place for publicity. Auto tippers will be purchased for cleanliness and it was talked about getting the schemes done as soon as possible, so that the city can develop. During this, there was talk of buying water tankers and Woodco officer Bikram was called. All the water connections and broken roads were said to be reconnected and repaired.

Mayor Indu Devi said that the former MP of Ara and former Union Minister had earlier talked about the construction of a clock tower at Gopali Chowk in the city. During this time, the dilapidated building of the clock tower was also demolished. But due to some reasons, the construction work of the clock tower could not be done. He said that it was decided in the meeting that a new clock tower would be constructed by the Municipal Corporation at Gopali Chowk in Ara city.

The Mayor said that in the earlier days many people did not pay the amount of settlement of the Serat. Regarding this, it was decided in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation that the permit will be issued only after depositing the amount of settlement of Serat in one lump sum. In the financial year 2024-25, whoever has not paid the full amount of Serat. They will be given notice by the Municipal Corporation every three days, so that they deposit their outstanding amount to the corporation.

Municipal Commissioner Anju Kumari, City Manager Om Prakash Kumar, Ratnesh Kumar, Sanitation Officer Divya Vikas Kumar and Vikas Kumar, Sub-urban Commissioner Ms Komal Kumari, Ward-19 Councilor Paras Nath Singh, Ward-40 Councilor Rajiv Kumar, Ward-6 Councilor Malti Singh, Ward-22 Councilor Rekha Jain, Ward-33 Councilor Asha Devi were present in the said meeting.
