ARA----------------------------Rahul Gandhi's journey will start from August 17 and end with a rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on September 1.
Citing alleged irregularities in the voter list, Rahul Gandhi is going to take out a 'Vote Rights Yatra' in Bihar. This journey will start from August 17 and end with a rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on September 1. What is the meaning of this journey of Rahul before the Bihar assembly elections? What benefit can Congress get from Rahul's journey in Bihar? What effect can the Congress's journey have on the rest of the alliance partners? Some such questions were discussed in 'Khabron Ke Khiladi' this week. Senior journalists Ramkripal Singh, Vinod Agnihotri, Purnima Tripathi, Awadhesh Kumar and Anurag Verma were present for the discussion.
Vinod Agnihotri: Whatever benefit this journey will have will be to his alliance in Bihar. I do not think that Tejashwi Yadav will be harmed by this. Congress benefited after the Bharat Jodo Yatra. After this, Rahul Gandhi has started liking the yatra. That is why he is going to take out this yatra in Bihar. The narrative of the constitution that Congress created before the Lok Sabha elections benefited them. BJP also believes this, although it calls it a false narrative. Now there is an attempt to create a narrative of vote theft. Rahul is creating a new narrative. Which is linked to the constitution itself. I think the Election Commission will move forward on SIR and Rahul Gandhi will take this issue forward.
Ramkripal Singh: If you want change in politics, then you have to come up with a positive narrative. In 1971, Indira gave the slogan of Garibi Hatao, during the JP movement, JP gave the slogan of Bhavishya Itihaas Hamara Hai, the slogan of Achche Din is also like this. All these were positive narratives. I don't think it is vote theft. I believe that a positive narrative works for change.
Awadhesh Kumar: It has to be seen whether the noise on SIR in Delhi is as much as it is in Bihar. You can travel, the problem of Congress is that it is unable to evaluate why it has lost its support base in big states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Will running a campaign against the Election Commission bring back Congress party voters? When there is no issue on the ground, you are travelling on it.
Purnima Tripathi: The post put up by Rahul Gandhi has people whose names have been deleted. The Election Commission has deleted their votes by declaring them dead. Look at the statement made earlier by Rahul Gandhi in which he had raised the issue of voter list. In that too, he had taken out the data of the Election Commission. As far as giving an affidavit is concerned, why was an affidavit not sought from Anurag Thakur? How did he get the details of so many seats so quickly? This shows that there is something fishy.
Anurag Verma: The biggest problem for Rahul Gandhi is that he is looking restless to become the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance or rather he is looking restless to become the undisputed leader of the opposition alliance. Rahul Gandhi is not going to leave this issue so soon. Rahul Gandhi does whatever he decides to do, even if it harms him. The way voters rejected the slogan 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' in the 2019 elections, it seems that the slogan 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' can also go against him.
