PATNA--------------------------Today is the birth anniversary of the sage of words, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, whose works, imbued with the power and courage of his words, still ignite the flame of patriotism in our veins. Through his words, he built a balanced bridge between literature and politics. The sentiments expressed in his writings and words prominently addressed the suffering of the people and their rights. It was remarkable that, despite being connected to the corridors of power, he was never unduly attacked by political interests and concerns.

In his writings, he always considered the voice of the people his own. He never took up the pen to please anyone. He based his literary works on the stories and anguish that resided within his heart. Once, an English officer, Wasted, asked, "Are you the author of Renuka?" Dinkar agreed. Wasted asked, "Why did you write anti-government poems?" "Why didn't you ask the government for permission before publishing?" Dinkar replied, "My future lies in literature. Asking for permission to publish books will ruin my future. Renuka's poems are not anti-government, they are merely patriotic. If patriotism is a crime, I would like to know that."

Vausted replied, "Patriotism is not a crime, it will never be." And no action was taken against Dinkar. We all had such a frank and quick-witted Dinkar.

In "Singhasan Khaali Karo Ki Janata Aati Hai," he fearlessly joined his voice with the voice of the people, while in "Urvashi," he embellished the emotions of a traveler on the path of love. He was a master of the art of balancing contrasting emotions.

He stated, "Tradition and rebellion both have a place in life. Tradition deepens the water by creating a boundary. Rebellion breaks the boundary and makes the water wide. Tradition restrains, while rebellion strives to advance. The progress that follows this struggle is the true progress of society."

His works clearly reflect the collective consciousness of the Indian people. According to him, "Women are not meant solely to woo or inspire men. They too have a role in the sacrifice of life, and that role is not limited to the home; it extends beyond. Whatever a man considers his domain is also a woman's field of action."

He was a poet who championed the people. The struggling and karmayogi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was born in Simaria Ghat, Begusarai district, Bihar. Due to his life of struggle, his knowledge, and his dignity, he remained unique in his field. It was impossible to confine Dinkar, a resident of the banks of the Ganges, within any dam. He was a particle in a moment and the entire universe in a moment. Today is also an important day for those who love the nation.
