A TOTAL OF Rs. 7,500 CRORE TRANSFERRED FOR THE CM’S WOMEN’S EMPLOYMENT SCHEME

SASARAM (RNI) Under the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme, an amount of ₹10,000 each was transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the transfer process via video conferencing. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar were present at the state level via live streaming. More than 1,000 women participated via video conferencing at the district-level program held at the Multipurpose Building, Fazalganj, in Sasaram, Rohtas district, on Friday. On this occasion, one female member from each family was being given a grant of ₹10,000 each for self-employment under the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme. District Project Manager, Jeevika, Sudhir Bahadur, stated that an initial amount of ₹10,000 will be transferred to each beneficiary's bank account, and after assessment and assessment, additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh will be provided as needed. Women will initiate self-employment activities using the funds received from this scheme. Present on this occasion were Bihar's Minister for Building Construction and Rohtas, Jayant Raj, District Magistrate Udita Singh, Deputy Development Commissioner Vijay Kumar Pandey, Jeevika DPM Sudhir Bahadur, and other officials. District Project Manager Sudhir Bahadur stated that women will now become self-reliant by developing employment and self-employment opportunities with the funds received under this scheme. Having their own source of income will help them become self-reliant and empowered through employment. This scheme will prove beneficial towards women's economic empowerment. The program was conducted via live streaming in all 43 cluster-level associations, 1752 village organizations, all Anganwadi centers, Panchayat buildings, and Mahadalit colonies across all 19 block headquarters in the district. Jeevika Didi's and other women witnessed the program and the welfare scheme through projectors, televisions, tabs, and mobile phones. Over 500,000 women in the district participated in the program digitally. Through today's first phase of the program, approximately 1 lakh 70 thousand Didis will get the benefit of this scheme, the total amount of which is approximately Rs 170 crore. The Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme is being promoted at the village-panchayat level through awareness vehicles, e-rickshaws and communication. Women are being informed about the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme through audio and video installed in the awareness vehicle. Along with this, women are also being made aware to avail the benefits of this scheme by showing audio-video films through the screen installed in the awareness vehicle in the village-panchayat.
