A special seminar will be held in Buxar to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, where reflections will be held on the spirit of India, national consciousness, cultural identity, and the literary and historical significance of Vande Mataram.
This information was provided by Prof. Akhilesh Dubey, a resident of Dubauli village in Simri block of Buxar district, a professor at Delhi University, and vice-president of the Sangh's History Collection Scheme, Delhi Province.
He explained that Vande Mataram is not just a song, but a mantra that expresses the soul of India, a resolution, and an eternal symbol of national pride. It encompasses a wonderful image of the country's culture, nature, identity, and national spirit. According to Prof. Dubey, the divine sense of Bharat Mata's grandeur, natural beauty, cultural consciousness, and patriotism found in Vande Mataram is extremely important for nation-building and social transformation.
He stated that the removal of the original lines of Vande Mataram in 1937 had far-reaching consequences, resulting in the partition of the country in 1947. According to him, this topic is not merely a chapter in history, but is deeply connected to the unity, integrity, and cultural pride of the nation. Therefore, the time has come for serious discussion on its literary, historical, and cultural aspects.
Prof. Dubey stated that a special lecture on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram was held today at the central office in Keshavkunj, Jhandewalan, Delhi, and the need to bring this topic of India consciousness to the center of national discourse was emphasized. In this context, a major program on Vande Mataram is being planned in Buxar. Scholars, researchers, cultural figures, and representatives from various institutions from across the state and country will participate.
He stated that the historic land of Buxar has always been a center of national consciousness. It would be a matter of pride for the district to hold a symposium on the occasion of Vande Mataram's 150th anniversary on such sacred land. The Vice Chancellor of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, will also be invited to the program, so that a detailed and effective discussion on this topic can be held from an academic perspective.
He stated that Vande Mataram symbolizes the spirit of "nation first" and is a key to strengthening the country's cultural unity. Therefore, on this occasion, not only celebrations but also reflection, contemplation and discussion are necessary, so that the new generation can also imbibe the sense of awareness and pride towards the nation through this song.
