The Bihar government has decided to take strict action after the disappearance of about 55,000 students who took education loan under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. These students are accused of defaulting in repaying the loan, due to which the government has ordered legal action for loan recovery.

PATNA-------------------------The Bihar government has decided to take strict action after the disappearance of about 55,000 students who took education loan under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. These students are accused of defaulting in repaying the loan, due to which the government has ordered legal action for loan recovery.
According to the review of Bihar State Education Finance Corporation, notices were sent to 11,850 candidates in 38 districts, and certificate cases have been filed against 27,258 defaulters. However, 27,277 candidates are still missing, and cases are yet to be filed against them. In Patna, orders were given to register a case against 4,374 defaulters, out of which 1,733 cases have been started.
The highest number of defaulters are from Patna and Samastipur, while Gaya and Darbhanga recorded the highest loan repayment rates. The government is now making rapid efforts to trace these missing students and recover the outstanding loans.
