34 OTHER FLOOD-AFFECTED SCHOOLD CLOSED

ARA--------------------------Many villages of Shahpur, Ara and Barahra blocks of Bhojpur district, which are facing the havoc of floods, have been surrounded by flood water. Schools in villages surrounded by flood water have been closed. District Magistrate, Bhojpur Tanay Sultania has directed to immediately close the schools in the flood-affected area. In the light of the instructions of District Magistrate, Bhojpur Tanay Sultania, District Education Officer, Bhojpur has ordered the closure of 34 other flood-affected schools of the district by letter number 1609 dated 8/8/2025. These include 11 flood-affected schools of Shahpur block, 14 of Barahra block and 9 of Ara block. Out of 139 schools in Shahpur block, 126 schools have been closed so far. 13 schools of Shahpur and Biloti are left to be closed. It should be noted that Shahpur Nagar Panchayat and Biloti village are not surrounded by flood water. Shahpur and Biloti are located on the Ara-Buxar four lane. Almost all the villages on the north side of the Ara-Buxar four lane are surrounded by devastating flood water. Water is flowing on the roads. Boats are the only means of transportation. Water is visible all around. Villages have become islands. The villages where schools have been ordered to be closed include Benwalia, Jhaua Benwalia, Mahuar Bahudari, Babu Tola Mahuar, Devmalpur Bahudari, Lilari, Ratanpura, Dumariya and Gosaipur of Shahpur block, Dumra, Singhi Kala, Barhabtra, Bhel Dumra, Shobhi Dumra, Pironta, Karara, Devrahi, Banka Dumra of Ara block and Gajiyapur, Lavkushpur, Babura, Gundi, Nargada, Chaman's Dera, Hajipur, Old Sabalpur, Balua, Saraiyan, Ghanghar, New Basti Sohra, Gundi East Banghara, Nathmalpur of Barahra block.
