20 FEET HIGH POT BROKE, YOUNG GOVINDAS SHOWED THEIR STRENGTH

ARA (RNI) On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Dahi-Handi festival was organized in Chaukipur village with great enthusiasm and zeal. A pot was tied at a height of 20 feet in the main ground of the village. To break it, many youth groups entered the ground with the slogans of "Govinda Aala Re" and made a daring attempt to reach the pot by forming a pyramid.

The youth falling and then getting up was the most exciting feature of this festival. After many attempts, a team won by breaking the pot. As soon as the pot broke, the entire ground echoed with applause and cheers. During this, women, children and people from the village also joined the festival and enjoyed it.

The Dahi-Handi festival in Ara is not just seen as a religious program but also as an adventure sport. The organizers took special care of safety. Mattresses and water were arranged when the players fell so that no one gets hurt. There was a fair like atmosphere in the village during the festival. Food stalls, children's swings and games were also arranged. The winning team was felicitated and mementos and certificates were distributed to all the participants.

This event promoted the spirit of unity, enthusiasm and teamwork not only in Chaukipur village but also in the surrounding area.
