The cabinet meeting, which began at 10 am on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, concluded today. A total of 16 agendas were approved in this meeting. Ministers and senior officials of all departments were present in the meeting.

PATNA----------------------------The cabinet meeting, which began at 10 am on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, concluded today. A total of 16 agendas were approved in this meeting. Ministers and senior officials of all departments were present in the meeting.
Two major proposals related to the Road Construction Department were approved. First, it was decided to upgrade the Salepur-Narsada-Telmar-Karauta road (NH-30) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes, the estimated cost of which will be ₹539.19 crores. Second, the construction of a 7.40 km long 4-lane road from Rajgir Sports Complex to Rajgir International Cricket Stadium was approved, which will cost ₹363.99 crores.
The Finance Department approved ₹5.30 crore for pending Provident Fund withdrawal of government servants, ₹1000 crore advance investment in Guarantee Redemption Fund (GRF), and three-year maintenance of e-Beneficiary Portal developed by NIC. The General Administration Department declared the holiday table for the year 2026 and decided to waive application fee in all government jobs examinations.
The Agriculture Department sanctioned ₹6 crore for work in 20 market courtyards under the e-NAM scheme. The Tourism Department allowed construction of two five-star hotels in Rajgir and one five-star resort in Vaishali. The Sugarcane Industry Department approved the Sugarcane Development Service Manual 2025.
Besides, land transfer, increasing the teacher award amount from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000, celebrating the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Upendra Nath Verma as a state function, and amendments to the Women Health Worker Manual were also approved by the Cabinet. These decisions are being considered important steps towards promoting the development and public welfare of the state.
