‘ASIA RUGBY (UNDER 20) CHAMPIONSHIP’ TO BE STARTED FROM AUGUST 9 IN RAJGIR

PATNA--------------------------A new chapter is going to be added in the sports history of Bihar. For the first time in the state, Asia Rugby (Under-20) Championship-2025 is going to be organized. This prestigious competition will be held on 9th and 10th August, 2025 at the campus of State Sports Academy-cum-Bihar Sports University, Rajgir.

A total of 16 teams from 9 countries will participate in this event, which is an important step towards promoting sports culture in Bihar.

Today, the mascot and logo of this championship were unveiled at an event organized at 1 Anne Marg. Rugby India President and eminent actor Mr. Rahul Bose was also present on the occasion. This event will attract youth towards sports in Bihar and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level.

Along with India, teams from China, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Nepal will also participate in this competition. With the presence of foreign teams, this event will prove to be an important sports festival not only for Bihar but for the entire country.

Organizing this championship will further strengthen the sports infrastructure in Bihar. The government believes that such events will create a sports environment in the state, which will encourage young players. This event will inspire the youth to make a career in sports and will give Bihar recognition as a sports hub at the national and international level.
