PATNA---------------------------Ahead of the Bihar elections, an FIR was filed against Union Minister Lallan Singh, also known as Rajiv Ranjan Singh. The FIR was filed after a video surfaced in which he was heard saying that opposition leaders in Bihar should not be allowed to leave their homes on election day.

Just before the first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections, Union Minister and senior JDU leader Lallan Singh's remarks have sparked controversy. Amid the political uproar over his speech in Mokama, the Election Commission has also taken action, first issuing a notice to Lallan Singh and now filing a case against him. A video of this statement is going viral on social media, although Amar Ujala does not endorse this video.

The RJD wrote in an 'X' post that Union Minister Lallan Singh is blaming the Election Commission for not allowing the poor to leave their homes on voting day. He should be locked in the house and if he pleads too much, he should be taken with him and allowed to cast his vote." Along with this, RJD also raised questions on the Election Commission. Sharing the video of Lallan Singh on 'X', Congress wrote, "Modi government minister Lallan Singh says that those who are going to vote against BJP-JDU, do not let them leave the house on the day of elections.
