SASARAM---------------------------Some armed criminals shot a young man in the chest and killed him on the Chausa Canal bridge in Kud village, under the Dinara police station area. The deceased was identified as Sudhir Yadav, 19, son of Collector Yadav, a resident of Dinara. According to information received from Station House Officer Vinay Kumar, Mr. Yadav's son, Sudhir Kumar, left his home on his bike after dinner at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night. The young man did not return home afterward. Calls to his mobile phone were answered, but it was switched off. When his family members went searching for him on Monday morning, they found his body in the Chausa Canal near the Kud Bridge. Upon seeing the body, the family members broke down in tears. Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and began investigating. Upon receiving information about the incident, Bikramganj ASP and SDPO Sanket Kumar personally arrived at the scene and began the investigation. He stated that preliminary investigations indicate that some liquor bottles were found at the scene. It appears that some people consumed alcohol at the scene on Sunday night. During that time, a heated argument may have occurred with the young man, leading to the young man being shot and killed. The young man died from the gunshot wounds. The SDPO stated that liquor bottles were recovered from the scene, along with three empty cartridges. He added that the district's FSL and DIU teams arrived and conducted an investigation and collected samples. He stated that the deceased youth's body has been sent to Sadar Hospital, Sasaram, for a post-mortem examination, completing legal formalities in front of his family. A clearer picture of the incident will be provided only after the post-mortem report is received. The local police are investigating from all angles. As of this time, the family had not filed a complaint with the police station.
