According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Om Prakash Gond, 29, son of Lalji Gond, a resident of Piprarh village under Bagen Gola police station area of ​​Buxar district. He worked in construction in Panipat, Haryana. Meanwhile, the deceased's brother, Anil Gond, said that there is a government water tank in the village under the tap water scheme. The water from that tank is turned on by Sunil Prasad and his son, but it had been shut off.

On Sunday evening, when he and his brother Om Prakash Gond went to Sunil Prasad's house in the village to get the water from the government tank turned on, he refused to do so. When they asked for the key to the water tank, he also refused to give it. This led to an argument between them. After this, Sunil Prasad, his son, and the people with them opened fire. During this, his brother Om Prakash Gond was shot and seriously injured. He was brought from Raghunathpur PHC to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. Upon receiving the information, the Bagen Gola police reached Ara Sadar Hospital, took the body into custody, and conducted a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the deceased's father, Lalji Gond, has registered a named FIR against four people, including Sunil Prasad, his son Rohit Kumar, Pinku Tatwa, and Rajdhan Pandey, all residents of the same village. Bagen Gola Station House Officer Abhay Shankar said that a named FIR has been registered by the deceased's father, Lalji Gond, against Sunil Prasad, his son Rohit Kumar, Pinku Tatwa, and Rajdhan Pandey, all residents of Piprarh village. Following the filing of the First Information Report (FIR), the police took swift action and arrested the named accused, Sunil Prasad and his son Rohit Kumar. The police are continuously conducting raids to apprehend the other accused.
