ARA---------------------------A young man from Arwal drowned in a canal in Kathua village of Agiaon Bazar police station area in the district on Thursday evening while fishing. The incident caused panic among the people. According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Lal Kishan Bind, 25, son of Umesh Bind, a resident of Karpi village in Karpi police station area of ​​Arwal district. He was a laborer.

Meanwhile, Satyendra Bind, who is related to the deceased as his uncle, said that both of them had come from Arwal to Kathua village in the Agiaon Bazar police station area 15 days ago to work as laborers in the newly constructed ITI building. On Thursday evening, he went to the canal located in the village to catch fish. He slipped and fell into the canal and drowned.

After receiving information from the people present there, they reached the spot. With the help of local people, his body was pulled out of the water. Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem examination at the Sadar Hospital.

It is said that the deceased was the eldest of his six brothers and four sisters. His family consists of five brothers and four sisters. He was married to Shanti Devi three years ago. She left him a few months after the marriage for some reason. After the incident, there is a pall of gloom in the deceased's house. All the members of his family are inconsolable.
