An uncontrolled trailer ran over a woman who was going to buy medicine near Sandesh Tola, in the Sandesh police station area of the district. She died on the spot. The driver abandoned the trailer and fled the scene. Meanwhile, the incident sparked anger among local villagers.
The villagers blocked the road near Sandesh Tola, demanding compensation. The road remained blocked for about two and a half hours, resulting in a long line of vehicles on both sides of the road, and traffic was completely disrupted. Upon receiving information, Sandesh Police Station Officer Sanjeev Kumar arrived at the scene with police force and, after convincing the people, cleared the blockade. The police conducted a post-mortem examination of the body at Sadar Hospital.
According to information, the deceased was Gyanati Devi, 29, wife of Ranjeet Kumar, a resident of Akhgaon village in the Sandesh police station area. Meanwhile, the deceased's husband, Ranjit Kumar, said that he was accompanying his wife to Sandesh on Tuesday morning to claim her. When an uncontrolled trailer ran over her near Sandesh Tola, she died on the spot. It is said that the deceased has two sons, Hrithik and Yuvraj, and a daughter, Isha. Following the incident, there has been chaos in the deceased's home. All the family members are inconsolable, weeping.
