Famous Bhojpuri industry actor Pawan Singh's name is once again associated with the election. This time in the Bihar assembly elections, Pawan Singh's name is coming up from Ara assembly and his home assembly Barhara. There is a discussion that Pawan Singh can contest from Ara or Barhara assembly. This discussion got air when the picture of former Union Minister RK Singh and Pawan Singh went viral on social media.

Pawan Singh is a resident of Jokhari village of Barhara assembly constituency of Bhojpur district. He also has many residences in Ara city. Last time in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he contested as an independent from Karakat Lok Sabha and stood second. Due to Pawan Singh, the caste equations in 6 Lok Sabha seats of Shahabad were disturbed and NDA suffered losses. NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha lost badly from Karakat Lok Sabha and RK Singh also lost from Ara Lok Sabha.
