Mayor Indu Devi said that 5 thousand new street lights and 20 high mask lights will be installed in various wards and major squares of the city, which will strengthen the traffic and security system at night.
A new parking lot will be constructed on the vacant land near the jail on Jail Road in the city, which will reduce traffic pressure in the surrounding areas. Divider construction for road safety. In the meeting, the councilor of ward number 21 said that at those places where regular garbage vehicles do not reach, a cleaning vehicle will be permanently stationed, in which local residents can directly put the garbage. Also, hotels and shopkeepers will be instructed to take out the garbage at the prescribed time, otherwise action will be taken against them. Keeping in mind the major festivals like Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath etc., a special cleaning campaign will be run in the sensitive areas of the city. Apart from this, purchase of equipment related to cleanliness will be done, which was passed unanimously. Ward 22 councilor Rekha Jain called Ghantaghar a historical heritage and demanded its immediate reconstruction, which was taken positively by the committee. The mayor clarified that if the shopkeeper allotted to someone dies, then the operation of the shop will be investigated by his family, so that transparency is maintained in the system.
Mayor Indu Devi announced that attractive tricolor lights will be installed on both sides of the road from Chowk to Station. Radium-coated name plate boards will be installed at all the major squares and intersections of the city, so that clarity is maintained even at night. New submersible pumps will be installed to solve the drinking water crisis in various wards of the city.
The Municipal Commissioner ordered the cleanliness officer to ensure garbage pickup from the city in two shifts. Municipal Commissioner Anju Kumari, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Komal Kumari, City Manager Om Prakash, Ratnesh Kumar, Sanitation Officer Divya Vikas and Shri Vikas Kumar, Ward Councilor Dr. Jitendra, Rekha Jain, Anita Devi, Asha Devi etc. were present in the meeting.
