VILLAGERS ANGRY OVER TRANSFER OF A SCHOOL, IN A MOOD TO BOYCOTT ELECTIONS

ARA-------------------------Villagers of 3 villages of the Panchayat are angry over the transfer of Madhya Vidyalaya Amehta of Amehta Panchayat of Bhojpur and are considering the transfer of the school as a conspiracy of officers and public representatives.

Actually Amehta High School is running in Basdiha of Amehta Panchayat since 2019. The high school was given space in 2019 on the land of the primary school located in Basdiha since 1964.

Villager Rajesh Tiwari says that his ancestors had donated the land for the primary school so that schools could be opened in the village and children could study in the village itself. After the primary school, the villagers tried for many years for a high school, then in 2019, the high school started when sufficient land was available near the primary school. After the high school, children from three nearby villages come here to study. The situation has become such that due to the increase in the number of children, students of five classes study in the same class. After the increase in the number of students, the construction of three buildings in the school has also started for their seating arrangements, but in the meantime a letter from the CO came to the school for the transfer of the school from Basdiha to Amehta village. This news has created problems for the children along with the villagers.

Mukul Anand, a villager of the same village, who is also the BJP district spokesperson, says that since 2024, he has been continuously visiting the Piro Zone Office for the NOC of the school. Correspondence was done several times but the NOC was not received. He says that he has not seen the face of the CO till date. When he goes to meet him, he is not in the office. He meets his Bada Babu in the office. When he went to inquire about this from him, he said that the matter has gone to the DCLR and when I searched for my application there, instead of that, I found someone else's paper along with the paper of 90 decimals and my application was missing from there.

Meanwhile, the news of the transfer of the school is shocking. The reason for the transfer is said to be lack of sufficient land near the school whereas according to the villagers, the Bihar government owns more land than required at the said site.

The ward member of the village, Suraj Kumar, who is a committee member of this school, said that we have demanded the reason from the CO because in the light of the said letter, the reply of the employee shows that there is sufficient land in Basdiha village but despite this, the CO has sent this matter to DCLR for investigation. Till now no work has been done to investigate the land but the place where the land of Amehta village has been mentioned for shifting the school, the construction of Panchayat Bhawan is currently going on on that land and the pit located near it has been suggested for land transfer.

The villagers say that they are considering it a political conspiracy. People suspect that this work has been done by the Mukhiya and the officials in collusion. However, Mukhiya Shriman Narayan has denied saying anything on this issue and said that when people have accused me, then it should be investigated so that the people behind this conspiracy can be exposed.

The matter of school transfer has now become an issue for the villagers. If the school is shifted from here to somewhere else, then the children will have to cover a distance of about five kilometers. Anyway, there is already a high school located in Amehta village of Amehta Panchayat. The villagers say that what kind of system is this that there are two high schools at one place and not even one at another.

For the villagers, the transfer of the school has become a matter of prestige. For this, they are ready to take to the streets. They also say that if the school is shifted from here to somewhere else, then they will also boycott the vote.
