TWO SMUGGLERS ARRESTED WITH IMFL

BUXAR-------------------------Acting on a tip-off, the Mufussil police station conducted a major operation late Wednesday evening and arrested two individuals smuggling foreign liquor from Akhouripur Gola. The smugglers were identified as Sochan Ram and Roshan Nigam, residents of Panjrav in Kaimur district. They were transporting the liquor on a bike with a police-insignia number plate, which prompted the police to conduct an investigation based on suspicion.

Acting on a tip-off, the Mufussil police station conducted a major operation late Wednesday evening and arrested two individuals smuggling foreign liquor from Akhouripur Gola. The smugglers were identified as Sochan Ram and Roshan Nigam, residents of Panjrav in Kaimur district. They were transporting the liquor on a bike with a police-insignia number plate, which prompted the police to conduct an investigation based on suspicion.

Police said they received information that liquor smugglers were transporting illicit liquor using police identification cards and insignia. Police immediately set up a blockade and began an investigation. During the investigation, a suspicious motorcycle was stopped and searched, and 11 bottles (750 ml) of high-end liquor hidden in a bag were recovered. Police seized the motorcycle and the liquor from the scene and detained both smugglers. Following interrogation, they are gathering information about other possible liquor networks. Police presented both arrested accused before the court after completing the necessary paperwork. Mufussil Police Station in-charge Shambhu Bhagat stated that a continuous campaign is being conducted against illicit liquor and strict action will be taken against those involved in the smuggling. This police action has created panic among smugglers in the area.
