PATNA--------------------------Silent silence has once again descended upon Bihar's administrative corridors. Following senior IAS officer Sanjeev Hans, two more Bihar cadre IAS officers have come under the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) radar. These include 2014-batch IAS officer Abhilasha Kumari Sharma and 2017-batch IAS officer Yogesh Kumar Sagar.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) are investigating allegations that Patna contractor Rishu Shri arranged a family tour to Europe for two Bihar IAS officers, Yogesh Kumar Sagar and Abhilasha Sharma, and paid commissions in the tender scam.
Two IAS officers from Bihar have come under investigation for a tender scam. Rishu Shri, a renowned Patna contractor and mastermind of the scam, arranged a family tour to Europe for two Bihar IAS officers. The ED has uncovered shocking evidence against IAS officers Yogesh Kumar Sagar and Abhilasha Sharma in this tender scam case.
According to sources, in exchange for managing government tenders, Rishu Shri arranged trips for the entire families of the two officers to Austria and other European countries and covered the expenses. Furthermore, Rishu Shri also funded approximately ₹9 lakh (approximately ₹9 lakh) for gardening on the terrace of Abhilasha Sharma's house.
The ED informed Bihar's Special Vigilance Unit of the matter, which has initiated the process of taking action against the officials. Special Vigilance Unit ADG Pankaj Darad confirmed that the matter has been brought to the attention of the Additional Chief Secretary of Vigilance. Upon receiving his approval, an FIR will be filed against Yogesh Kumar Sagar and Abhilasha Sharma.
Earlier, the ED raided nine locations across the country in connection with a money laundering case against Patna-based high-profile contractor Rishu Shri. Approximately ₹3.3 million in cash, several digital devices, diaries, and documents were recovered during searches in Ahmedabad, Surat, Gurugram, and Delhi.
The ED initiated the investigation in May 2025 based on an FIR filed by Bihar's Special Vigilance Unit against Rishu Shri and others. It is alleged that Rishu Shri paid large sums of money as commission to officials to secure contracts in various Bihar government departments. His name first surfaced in the ongoing case against IAS officer Sanjeev Hans and the ED action. The investigation is currently ongoing.
