The echo of the state-wide anti-encroachment drive has now reached Chausa in Buxar district. The ever-increasing illegal encroachments, shops expanding onto sidewalks, and traffic disruptions on main roads have forced the administration to take drastic measures. Preparations for the bulldozer drive in Chausa are in the final stages, and officials have clearly indicated that encroachments must be removed voluntarily, or action is certain.

In the past few months, encroachment has spread so extensively in Chausa's market and main roads that drivers face daily inconvenience. Traffic jams have become a constant problem due to the increasing unauthorized construction along the roadside. Sometimes, the situation worsens to the point where accidents are narrowly avoided.

Local residents say that if the administration takes strict action, Chausa's roads will become as wide and smooth as before. Meanwhile, uneasiness among shopkeepers and encroachers regarding administrative action is growing. People are preparing for the possible action in their own ways.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Avinash Kumar stated that meetings are being held regularly regarding the campaign, and an official date will be announced soon. He explained that the encroachment situation has now become extremely serious, making action necessary without delay.

In the first phase, three important locations on the Chausa-Kochas road: the Nagar Panchayat's Durga Temple complex, Yadav Mod, and Akhouripur-Gola, are planned to be encroached upon. Concerned residents will be given prior notice and prior information so they can remove the encroachments themselves. However, the warning is clear: if no one obeys, the administration will not hesitate to use bulldozers and take legal action.

Chausa is now moving toward decisive change. This strict approach by the administration will not only reduce traffic problems but also enhance the area's aesthetics and order.
