PATNA----------------------------The Bihar government has taken a historic step to connect the state's youth with employment and skill development. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced that a target has been set to provide jobs and employment to 1 crore youth between 2025 and 2030. To achieve this goal, the state will focus on large-scale skill training, improvements in higher education, and expansion of technical education.

The government has decided to create three new departments to accelerate job creation and strengthen administrative functions—1. Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development. 2. Department of Higher Education. 3. Department of Civil Aviation.

The government says that the creation of these departments will lead to an unprecedented increase in employment opportunities for the youth and strengthen the industrial environment in the state. Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development. Through this department, youth will be encouraged towards entrepreneurship. Preparations are underway to provide employment on a large scale through various schemes. The target is to provide employment to millions of youth by providing them with skill training in the next 5 years. Objective of the Higher Education Department. The government will focus on improving the quality of higher education, encouraging research and innovation, and strengthening technical and vocational education. This will benefit students from all sections of society. Civil Aviation Department to boost industrial development Construction of several new airports is underway in the state, and the expansion of many airports is proposed under the UDAN scheme. The new Civil Aviation Department will accelerate this process. This will not only improve air connectivity but also create new opportunities for industry, trade, and employment. It will also promote the export of products manufactured in the state.

Establishment of MSME Directorate and Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation. The government has also decided to establish the Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation. Mega Skill Centers will be opened in every district to provide MSME-related training to the youth. The availability and quality of products related to agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, food processing, handicrafts, and rural industries will be enhanced. This will open up new employment opportunities for millions of young people.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “We are continuously working with the objective of making the youth of Bihar skilled and self-reliant, providing them with maximum employment opportunities, and securing their future. The state government is fully committed to providing jobs and employment to the youth.” These decisions of the Bihar government are being considered a major step in the field of employment and industrial development.
