THREE ARRESTED INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF TOP-10 CRIMINALS

SASARAM-----------------------------Rohtas Police have arrested two other accused including a criminal included in the top ten of the district from different places. The SP has announced to reward all the policemen involved in the arrest. In a press conference held on Thursday evening in the office room at Dehri, SP Roshan Kumar said that Rakesh Singh alias Rakesh Rai, a criminal included in the top ten of the district, is a resident of Bhainsahee village of Sasaram Mufassil police station area.

The SP said that on December 10, 2024, Kamlesh Rai, a resident of Bhainsahee, was shot and injured by Rakesh Singh alias Rakesh Rai, who was arrested due to land dispute in Bhainsahee. Rakesh Singh had absconded after the incident. Told that Rakesh Singh is a notorious criminal, more than a dozen cases of murder, robbery, dacoity and extortion and attack on police are registered against him. Rakesh was included in the top-10 criminals of the district. The formed team of police arrested Rakesh Singh from near Sasaram Jail on secret information. SP said that arrested notorious Rakesh has 6 cases registered against him in Sasaram Mufassil police station, 1 in Akhorigola police station, 1 in Sasaram Nagar police station and 1 in Nokha police station.

In another case, Mahesh Singh and Dinanath Paswan of Akhorigola have been arrested. SP said that on 7th July, there was an incident of fighting and firing between two parties over land dispute near Dayal Farm in Akhorigola police station area. An FIR was registered naming Mahesh Singh and other persons in the incident. Police raided Supa Bigha village last night on the basis of secret information and arrested the named accused Mahesh Singh and Dinanath Paswan. SP said that during interrogation, the arrested accused told that this incident was carried out over about 250 bigha land of Dayal Farm.
