PATNA----------------------------A significant news has emerged for thousands of daily commuters between Delhi, the Northeast, and other major cities. Anticipating severe cold and dense fog, Eastern Railway and the Malda Division have decided to cancel and reduce the frequency of several important trains from December 2025 to February 2026.

According to information received from the Railways, the frequency of several trains has also been reduced during this period. The cancelled trains include major trains like the Garib Rath, Farakka Express, and Gaya-Kamakhya Express. The 22405 Bhagalpur-Delhi Garib Rath Express will be cancelled for four days in December. Additionally, the train will be cancelled for nine days in January.

The 22406 Bhagalpur Garib Rath Express will be suspended for five days in December, four days in January, and four days in February. Additionally, the 14004 Malda to New Delhi New Farakka Express will be cancelled from December 6th to February 28th. The 14003 New Delhi to Malda Town Express will be cancelled from December 4th to February 26th. The 15619 Gaya-Kamakhya Weekly Express will also be cancelled from December 2nd to February 24th.

For rail passengers, the 1526 Kamakhya-Gaya Weekly Express will be cancelled from December 1st to February 23rd. Importantly, the Sonpur Division has also taken decisions regarding trains running via Navgachhia. Trains like the Seemanchal Express and Sikkim Mahananda Express will also be cancelled. The frequency of several trains will also be reduced.

The Malda Town-New Delhi Express, New Delhi-Malda Town Express, and Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express will now run after February. The list of cancelled trains includes trains on various routes. The trains cancelled by the Railways will only run after February. This also includes trains from the North-East.
