ARA---------------------------An important meeting of the preparation committee of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Bhojpur district unit, was held at a hotel in Ara regarding the preparation of the Voter Rights Yatra to be held in Bhojpur district on August 30. The meeting was chaired by District President Veerbal Yadav and conducted by Principal General Secretary Rambabu Paswan.
Former Union Minister Dr. Kanti Singh attended the meeting as the chief guest and program in-charge. She called upon all the officials and workers to play an active role in making the yatra historic and said that the historic yatra will yield historic results. She said that this yatra will have the historic participation of the top leaders of the India Alliance including Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, VIP supremo Mukesh Sahni, CPI-ML National General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya. She further said that the yatra will enter Bhojpur district near Babura, where it will be given a grand welcome by RJD workers. After this, the yatra will enter Ara city from Kayamnagar – Dharhara Bridge – Sapna Cinema Mor and will reach Ambedkar Chowk via Sadar Hospital Road – Mahavir Tola – Nagari Pracharini Marg. After garlanding the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar there, the yatra will move forward and culminate in a huge public meeting at the playground of Maharaja College. He said that banners, posters, hoardings, and arches will be built in the name of great men at all places and all the workers will welcome their leader.
While addressing the meeting, District President Veerbal Yadav said that the Voter Rights Yatra is a fight to protect democracy and to save the right to vote. The public will have to answer the misdeeds being done by the Election Commission in the Modi-Nitish alliance and the insult to the mandate. A strong message will go to the public from the land of Bhojpur that the murder of democracy will not be tolerated. He also said that during the yatra, RJD workers will show discipline and this yatra will be historic.
Jagdishpur MLA Ram Vishun Singh alias Lohia said that this yatra organized on the historic land of Bhojpur is a historic campaign to save democracy and ensure voter rights. The people here will give a befitting reply to the dictatorial attitude of the Modi-Nitish alliance.
Shahpur MLA Rahul Tiwari said that the responsibility of RJD workers has increased further to take this yatra to the people. Workers should take this message to every street, locality and village that now the people will fight decisively to protect their rights.
Former MLA of Ara Sadar and State President of Minority Cell Anwar Alam said that during the Voter Rights Yatra, a public meeting will be held in Maharaja College of Ara, so the participation of the people of Ara is important. He appealed to the people of Ara to join this yatra as much as possible for the fight for rights.
The thank you memorandum was given by RJD's Bhojpur district spokesperson Alok Ranjan. Former Union Minister Dr. Kanti Singh, Jagdishpur MLA Ram Vishnu Singh alias Lohia, Shahpur MLA Rahul Tiwari, former MLA Anwar Alam, Vijayendra Yadav, Abdul Malik, Arun Yadav, Saroj Yadav, Bhai Dinesh, Zilla Parishad President Asha Paswan, Chief Mukesh Singh Yadav, spokesperson Alok Ranjan, Ekram Alam, Mantu Sharma, Dhanjit Yadav, Aarti Devi, Hakim Prasad, BD Singh, Ram Babu Singh, Raghupati Yadav, Sonali Singh, Vinod Chandravanshi, Shailendra Kumar, Ajay Yadav, Om Prakash Munna, Kapildev Akela along with all the district presidents of the cells, block presidents, district committee leaders were present in the meeting.
