ARA----------------------------The Shahpur Nagar Panchayat is witnessing widespread activity these days regarding the anti-encroachment drive. The impact of the announcement made by the city administration last Friday is now clearly visible on the ground, resulting in a rush among traders and shopkeepers to remove their shops on their own. Following this initiative, Shahpur's main road and market area now appear much more open and orderly.

It is worth noting that on Friday, as part of a massive public awareness campaign, the city administration broadcast a message throughout the city via microphone, warning encroachers to remove their encroachments themselves, or else the administration would take forceful action within 24 hours. This clear warning had an immediate positive impact. Even before the deadline for removal, a large number of shopkeepers voluntarily began removing their temporary and permanent encroachments.

It should be noted that shops, carts, and other commercial establishments used to occupy large portions of the city's main roads and sidewalks, causing significant inconvenience not only to pedestrians but also disrupting vehicular movement. Traffic congestion had become a chronic challenge in Shahpur. Following this strict and public-friendly decision by the administration, the situation has changed. Now, the roads are wider and the sidewalks are clearer, making commuting a breeze.

Local residents and the general public are applauding this move by the city administration. However, this campaign has caused some small traders and hawkers to temporarily find alternative locations for their livelihoods.
