DELHI---------------------------Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), warmly welcomed Prof. Bejon Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Core Group of Insurance Experts of the Ministry of AYUSH. The meeting focused on advancing insurance coverage in the AYUSH sector and policy initiatives to ensure widespread access and integration of traditional medicine into mainstream healthcare.

Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav recently inaugurated the Project Management Unit (PMU) for AYUSH insurance-related matters at AIIA. During the discussion, Prof. Prajapati emphasized that the PMU will provide a timely and transparent environment for stakeholders, facilitating effective implementation of insurance schemes. He assured that AIIA will play a key role in ensuring easy access to information and benefits of AYUSH insurance schemes for the public.

The meeting with Dr. Srivastava focused on exploring opportunities for collaborative research and academic exchange to strengthen evidence-based practices in Ayurveda.

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati said, “AIIA is committed to fostering meaningful collaborations that integrate traditional knowledge with modern science. Strengthening policy frameworks such as research partnerships and insurance inclusion will significantly increase the reach and credibility of AYUSH systems.”
