PATNA------------------------Tej Pratap Yadav, expelled from his family and party in Bihar, has openly expressed his differences with his younger brother and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. At a meeting in Jehanabad on Saturday, he made sharp anti-family and party remarks. When the crowd raised the slogan "Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar" during the meeting, Tej Pratap Yadav strongly opposed it and said, "Don't talk nonsense here. The government is formed by the public, not by any particular person. The one who will be arrogant will fall soon."
Tej Pratap said that efforts are being made to break "Team Tej Pratap Yadav" against him. He also said that God has given him another chance and what can one who cannot be loyal to his own people do for the citizens. He made it clear that he does not have the greed to become the Chief Minister.
In May, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad expelled Tej Pratap from the family and party for six years due to disregard for moral values in personal life. After this, Tej Pratap announced to contest as an independent from Mahua assembly constituency and formed an alliance with several small parties. He repeatedly said that a conspiracy was hatched against him and his political future was endangered.
A few days ago, Tej Pratap had warned Tejashwi to beware of "Jaichands". He had said that be cautious of the people around you, otherwise bad results can be seen in the elections. He also mentioned the attack on Congress and RJD workers during the Voter Rights Yatra and called it condemnable.
Tej Pratap's open statements have increased the pressure on Tejashwi Yadav. The younger brother may be the party's face for the post of Chief Minister, but the rebellion of the elder brother threatens to disintegrate the support base of the Yadavs and complicate the party's election campaign.
