STERN ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE BIHAR POLICE PERSONNEL IF THEY TAKE SELFIE:DGP

PATNA------------------------------DGP Vinay Kumar has issued strict order for Bihar Police personnel. Now if police officers take selfie with any common people, local representative or media personnel, strict action will be taken against them.

Another strict order for Bihar Police personnel has been issued by the Police Headquarters. According to the order, now taking selfie with any person by police officers and police personnel can prove to be costly. Under the order of Bihar Police DGP Vinay Kumar, now no policeman or officer can take selfie with the common people of Bihar, local representative or media personnel.

According to the order of Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar, now police officers are strictly prohibited from taking selfie or photo with common people, public representatives and media personnel. In this regard, he has sent letters to all regional IGs, DIGs and SPs of districts and issued instructions.

The DGP said that some people are making improper use of the pictures taken with police officers to fulfill vested interests. Since the functioning of Bihar Police is very sensitive, one should avoid taking photos or selfies even during courtesy visits.

He clarified that if the order is disobeyed, disciplinary action will be taken under the provisions of the Conduct Rules. The DGP also reminded that Bihar Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1976 and All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968 also apply to police officers.
