A dispute has arisen between the Digambara and Shwetambar Jain sects over the construction of the temple at Shri Kamaldah Ji, the birthplace of Mahamuni Seth Sudarshan in Patna.

ARA---------------------------A dispute has arisen between the Digambara and Shwetambar Jain sects over the construction of the temple at Shri Kamaldah Ji, the birthplace of Mahamuni Seth Sudarshan in Patna. The Shwetambar sect allegedly began construction without prior notice or consent. The Digambara sect has immediately objected to this and appealed for a halt to the work. The Digambara sect states that this pilgrimage site is revered by both sects. They demand that no matter which sect undertakes the renovation or construction of the temple, the altars and idols of both sects must be installed in the temple. This restoration will not harm the faith of either sect and will preserve the sanctity and shared heritage of the site. This dispute requires a peaceful resolution and respect for the sentiments of both sects.
