SHOW CAUSE TO BLO FOR NEGLIGENCE IN ELECTION WORK

ARA-----------------------------Jagdishpur Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) Sanjit Kumar of Bhojpur district has issued show cause notices to several booth level officers (BLOs) for not taking interest in election related work and working at a slow pace. All of them have been directed to give their explanation within 24 hours. In case of not getting a satisfactory answer, their suspension can be recommended to the District Election Officer.

This action has been taken in the light of the instructions of the Election Commission of India and the District Election Officer, Bhojpur, under which special intensive revision work is going on. The notice states that despite repeated instructions, many BLOs are not discharging their duties properly. These BLOs. But they are accused of not providing the forms to the voters on time and showing indifference in uploading the relevant documents through the BLO app.

Taking this negligence seriously, the SDM has also stopped the salary of 2 July 2025 with immediate effect. A total of 22 BLOs have been named in the notice along with their booth numbers.
