SHOW CAUSE ISSUED TO PANCHAYAT SECRETARIES

ARA---------------------------Despite allocation of funds, Panchayat secretaries continue to pay wages to sanitation supervisors and sanitation workers.

Piro BDO Ashok Kumar has taken a tough stand against the arbitrary payment of wages by Panchayat secretaries in the nine Panchayats of Piro block, despite the allocation of funds. The BDO has issued show-cause notices to all concerned Panchayat secretaries, directing them to respond within 24 hours. According to information, the district administration has allocated sufficient funds to pay wages to sanitation supervisors and sanitation workers working in Katar, Jitaura Jungle Mahal, Khanni Kala, Nonar, Sukhrauli, Akruan, Amaai, Aiyar, and Bachri Panchayats. However, due to the arbitrary behavior of the Panchayat secretaries, all the concerned workers have not yet been paid and utilization certificates have not been issued. Consequently, the Panchayat secretaries of all nine Panchayats are left with an unused amount of ₹4,06,085 (approximately ₹4,06,085). Taking this matter seriously, the Piro BDO has issued show-cause notices to all concerned Panchayat secretaries, directing them to respond within 24 hours. According to the BDO, if a satisfactory response is not received, action will be taken against the concerned Panchayat secretary.
