This collection contains short stories of 225 story writers from across the country, including Siddheshwar and the book's co-editor Richa Verma, Bhagwati Prasad Dwivedi, Ram Yatan Yadav, Dr. Kamal Chopra, Yogendra Nath Shukla.

Presiding over the launch ceremony, conference president Dr. Anil Sulabh said that short stories have an immediate impact on the reader's mind like a needle. Its essence is hidden in its craft and structure. In this era of time-shortage, this genre has proved to be very interesting for readers who cannot find time to read long stories and novels. In this genre, capable storytellers leave a long-lasting impact in few words. This genre of literature is becoming very popular.

While launching the book, well-known litterateur and literature minister of the conference Bhagwati Prasad Dwivedi said that it is a matter of happiness that these days a lot of work is being done in the short story genre of literature and collections are also being published. But due to its specialties, this book holds a special place. It has a section of critical articles, which will help readers in understanding the short story in a classical form.

Welcoming the guests at the beginning, the editor of the book, Siddheshwar said that compilation of the best short stories of this century was a difficult task. It took 08 years to compile and publish it. This compilation is a must read for upcoming short story writers.

Well-known litterateurs Dr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, Madhuresh Narayan, Dr. Meena Kumari Parihar, Vidya Chaudhary, Kumar Anupam, Dr. Samarendra Narayan Arya, Rajpriya Rani and Krishnaranjan Singh also expressed their views. Dr. Richa Verma, co-editor of the book presented the vote of thanks.
