ARA-------------------------A five-day Deepotsav workshop was inaugurated on Friday in the Jubilee Hall of the 'Shanti Smriti' Sambhavna Residential High School, located in Shubh Narayan Nagar, Majhowanwa, in the city. The inauguration was jointly conducted by the school's Principal, Dr. Archana Singh, and Director, Dr. Kumar Dwijendra.

On this occasion, Dr. Archana Singh said that Deepotsav is a festival symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. Through this workshop, children will learn to make lamps, candles, garlands, rangoli, and other decorative items with their own hands. This is not only an opportunity for skill development but also a medium to connect with Indian folk style and tradition.

She said that Sambhavna School has been a harbinger of culture and tradition, along with education, and will continue to promote such events to pass on the indelible imprints of folk life to future generations.

Director Dr. Kumar Dwijendra said that such events are essential for preserving our cultural and cultural heritage. The workshops not only connect children with traditional arts but also develop their creativity and sensitivity.

The students are being trained in the workshop by art teachers Vishnu Prasad and Sanjeev Sinha. Approximately 500 students are participating in this five-day workshop. Traditional items, folk songs, and folk dances related to Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhaiya Dooj, and Chhath Mahaparva are also being prepared for this workshop, which will run from October 10th to 16th.

On October 17th, an exhibition of all the items made in the workshop and a cultural presentation will be organized, in which the students will showcase their creative skills. The song and dance training is being conducted under the direction of the school's dance teacher, Chintu Kumar, and music teachers Dharmendra Kumar, Amitesh Kumar, and Mahesh Kumar.
