ARA--------------------------To provide relief to the city residents from the daily traffic jams in Piro, the local administration held a meeting with local street vendors on Friday. Hundreds of street vendors and other vendors, along with local police and administrative officials, attended the meeting, which was supervised by SDO Krishna Kumar Upadhyay. It was decided that autos would only be parked at the designated locations on various routes previously designated by the SDO for auto stands. Strict action would be taken against auto drivers who disobeyed the order. Street vendors were also instructed to set up their shops away from the main road. Shopkeepers allotted shops by the Municipal Council were also asked to vacate the occupied space in front of their shops. According to the SDO, the Municipal Council shopkeepers will remain within the boundaries of their shops. If space is available in front of their shops, arrangements will be made for street vendors to set up their shops. According to the SDO, sites will be selected near Ojhawalia Mod and Ibrahimpur Mod where arrangements will be made for carts and other shops. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the construction of a small auto stand on the Irrigation Department's land near Lohia Chowk. The SDO, while enlisting the cooperation of local residents and shopkeepers to beautify and organize the city, stated that the Municipal Council would also provide cleaning and lighting. However, given the problem of traffic jams during Dussehra, the Piro SDO had selected sites for auto and toto vehicles on Ara Road, Bihiya Road, and Sasaram Road, and issued instructions to establish auto stands there, and to take strict action against those parking autos anywhere in the city. Despite this order, the illegal standoff on the city roads remained unstoppable, and local residents continue to face the problem of traffic jams.
