Benches and desks were supplied in the schools of the district in the last financial year. In this work done through outsourcing, benches and desks made of poor quality material were supplied ignoring the standards. In ignoring the standards, the contractors did not even take care that the future of the country will be shaped with the help of these benches and desks. Therefore, the benches and desks supplied started getting damaged in a short time. However, the silence of the department in this matter is raising many questions. Experts say that in this matter, the powerful people active in the education department have played the game of management on a large scale and under their pressure the department is not getting it investigated. Departmental sources say that if a high-level investigation is conducted, then a massive loot in the supply of benches and desks in the schools of the district can be exposed. Departmental experts say that the standard set by the department in this matter was to install iron or sheesham frame of benches and mango wood seat, but it was ignored by the contractors and instead of mango wood seat, ply benches and desks were supplied. At the same time, standards have also been ignored in the frame. But, surprisingly, the department remained silent in this matter despite knowing everything. There, poor quality bench desks were found in Laxman Dera Middle School. During the same time, he ordered DPO Shariq Ashraf to investigate. In the investigation, poor quality benches and desks were found. Its maximum number was found in Itadhi. After completing the investigation, DPO Shariq Ashraf had directed Itadhi BEO to register an FIR. The BEO had given an application to Itadhi Police Station In-charge to register an FIR. But the Police Station In-charge did not register an FIR for a year. He raised the matter that the schools in the district where benches and desks have been supplied, their quality should be checked by another agency. This will make the whole situation clear. Although sixty days passed in the District Public Grievance. But no order was issued for quality check. After this, Mamata went to the Divisional Commissioner. After going there, Bright and Alma Brothers were working for one year against which Itadhi BEO had applied for filing an FIR. FIR was filed against the same. But, the quality was not checked. After this, the matter has now gone to the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department. In this regard, Shiv Prakash Rai says that the officers are deliberately procrastinating the matter. If the quality is not checked, in that situation, we will knock the doors of the High Court. On the other hand, the lack of quality check is raising many questions. On the other hand, departmental sources say that the investigation of this scheme is not being done due to the pressure of the alleged strongmen. Departmental sources say that discrimination has been done in the selection of the work agency and the responsibility of supply has been given only to the favourites. Experts say that on a deep investigation, along with the poor quality material, it will also be revealed under whose pressure the same agency has been given the responsibility of supplying desks to many schools.
