PATNA-----------------------There was a lot of ruckus over SIR in Bihar Assembly on Tuesday. Tejashwi Yadav said that Bihar is the mother of democracy and democracy is being murdered there. If SIR will not be discussed here, then what will be discussed. Opposition MLAs came to the well and created a lot of ruckus over the debate on AIR. The MLAs overturned the table inside the Vidhan Sabha. A situation of jostling arose between the MLAs and the marshals.

Tejashwi Yadav said that I request the Speaker of the Assembly to get this serious issue discussed in the House. I humbly request for this. He said that the bill will keep coming, but if the name of our voter will be deleted, then what will be the meaning of this democracy? This House is the biggest temple of democracy and if we do not discuss for them here, then what will be the meaning of this temple?

Earlier, RJD Legislative Council members under the leadership of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi had created a lot of ruckus in the Vidhan Mandal premises. After this, the opposition MLAs raised slogans in the Legislative Council. As soon as the proceedings of the second session started, the opposition members again started creating a ruckus demanding a discussion on voter list revision in the assembly. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav demanded that a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee be called and there be a debate on voter list revision, which the Speaker flatly refused.

The Speaker said that the opposition MLAs were allowed to speak in the first half of the House but the MLAs did not speak. After this, the opposition MLAs reached the well and started creating a ruckus. During this, the women MLAs present in the House threw a chair on the reporting table. During this, the opposition MLAs lifted the table in the House and overturned it. During this, there was also a scuffle with the marshal present there.

In the fierce scuffle between the opposition MLA and the marshal, even the marshal's clothes got torn. Amidst heavy uproar, the government passed 6 bills. When the MLAs did not obey despite repeated warnings from the speaker, Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav adjourned the assembly proceedings till 11 am on Wednesday.
